Kyzaybay and Shekerbekova move on at the World Championships, Volosenko is eliminated from the competition

Today scheduled fights of Kazakhstani girls took place at the World Boxing Championships.

The first to enter the ring in the weight class up to 48 kg was a world champion Nazym Kyzaybay who eventually left no chances to her rival - Angelika Gronska (Poland) - 3:0. The next one to fight in this tournament came Zhayna Shekerbekova (51 kg). The boxer from the South Kazakhstan region defeated Clara Leskurat (Argentina) - 3:0.

Unfortunately, the first from among Kazakhstani athletes to left the struggle was Rimma Volosenko (60 kg). In a stubborn fight the capital athlete conceded to Danish athlete Yvonne Rasmussen - 1:2.

The scheduled fights at the World Championships will go on tomorrow. The tournament is held at the Barys Arena ice palace and will run till 27 May. A live broadcast is being held on Kazsport channel.
