Nazym Kyzaibay, "In The Forthcoming Battles I Want To Fight Even Better"

The first World Champion in the history of Kazakhstan Nazym Kyzaibay started with a victory at the World Championships in Astana.

Nazym told in an interview to the KBE website about the fight against her rival from Poland:

- The first fight in the tournament is always hard, - says Nazym Kyzaibay. - But, I think that I managed to work out all four rounds well. I fought to the end and won.

- Have you ever boxed with Angelica Gronska?

- No, I haven’t. After the 2014 World Championships I moved to a new weight class and boxed in the "weight" up to 51 kilograms. Two years later, I fight in the lightest weight class again.

- How difficult was it for you to be back to the lighter weight class?

- There were no particular difficulties. Of course, there is a difference in speeds. I tried to show good boxing. I hope that in the forthcoming battles I will be able to perform even better.

- Zhayna Shekerbekova is acting on behalf of Kazakhstan in your previous "weight". At the latest national championships, you defeated her. How do you consider her chances of success at the World Championships?

- It was a decision of the coaching staff. I think that our team has faced the World Championships being in good shape and everything is just in our hands. I think  Zhayna has every chance to approve herself in this tournament.
